Just as it says on the tin

I purchased this spike set, not for the spikes, but for the inserts. I decided to use the inserts upside down, on an old Target turntable shelf. My idea was to mount them at three points on the frame, making a hole in the frame above them, to enable me to adjust the level from below with 6mm threaded bolts.
It worked perfectly. Much easier to get a level than using four spikes, and no fiddling about with lock nuts either. Very simple to install.

    Good for the price

As it says, this is a budget spike kit. The mounting hardware is a bit soft, my Allen key stripping the socket in a couple of them before they were fully inserted. Certainly good enough to do the job though.

Also, the spikes that I received did not have the knurling shown in the picture. This makes them a bit fiddly to adjust.

For the price they are fine. If there was a 'deluxe' set for a few pounds more, I'd be tempted to go for that next time.

As always, service from britishaudiostore.com was excellent, the item arriving quickly and well packaged.
