    A record brush that works

Posted by Unknown on 16th Oct 2017

It’s no surprise that the Mobile Fidelity MFSL Vinyl Brush has proved so popular with British audio enthusiasts: not only can it be used wet, but it also works effectively as a traditional dry brush and is fairly priced. Having used a Decca record cleaning brush for many years, I decided it was high time to replace it and the Mobile Fidelity does not disappoint. It is comfortable to handle and you can really see so-called clean records give up debris on just one or two sweeps. I have found that it is best to clean the record without revolving the platter because the weight of the unit and the brushing area can make the disc slip on the turntable and it does not work particularly well on my belt-driven turntable. Gripes about the annoying packaging aside (it is difficult to put back the brush in its plastic housing after use), this brush is highly recommended.
