Product Overview

The Music Master is Len's top of the range cartridge, designed to offer giant beating high end performance that exceeds the all of his previous designs. It still uses pure silver hand wound conductors, but uses substantially different materials for both the cantilever and the stylus, as well as changes to the stylus cutting angle,

Couple all of these with the improvement the std classic brought over the Music Maker MkIII Leonard Gregory has managed to raise the performance bar still higher. As a moving Iron Cartridge it has none of the draw backs of low output moving coils, and yet offers the listener the chance to experience music in a truly sublime way. No wonder those reviewers and early customers lucky enough to hear this wonder are describing it as one of the finest pick up cartridges made.

The Music Master, is fitted with a solid Sapphire cantilver, which imparts incredible stiffness and rigidity not found on other caridges anyway near this price point. The fitted diamond stylus is a fraction of the size of the ones found on the Classic and the Music Maker Mk III, allowing the stylus to track deeper in the grove, giving in our tests a much quieter surface noise during playback of the recording.

How does it sound?

Having heard the Music Master develop over the hours of use we have put our cartridge through, we were really stunned at just what a difference the Music Master had over the Mk III, a real sense of air and spatial placement, and yet a delicacy of sound that lets you here what the artists intended.

A clear winner, we would ask all buyers of serious cartridges to add to their shortlist for an upgrade. It is really that good.
